senior thesis final crit

so, i got heavily criticized for my mattes.
which is expected. i hate mattes. i'm terrible at cutting them.
they always look ugly. whatever.
i wanted to dry mount, but at the last group crit, it was suggested i matte.

i was also told my statement kind of contradicted my work.
but i'm fine with that, because i totally bullshitted my statement.

so, here is the final images. 10 total.
my critique was done by my two teachers,
and by a woman, Debra Klomp Ching,
who is a gallery director in Brooklyn.
she told me that the 3rd image down
was the most stunning image she had seen all day.

needless to say, that made my day.
it gives me a lot of hope that i might actually get to show in a gallery one day.
